Strange blog hits and some answers

I’m still sick! What is this? It’s been almost a week. I know a lot of other people seem to have the same thing as well. Anybody have any idea how long it takes to get over?

I don’t check my blog stats often b/c I don’t really care, but I did today and guess what I found? Some disturbing stuff. Quite a few people found my blog b/c of the obvious upcoming Valentine’s Day and our blog title’s relation to that. In fact, over the past week, there were probably 75 hits for “Valentine’s Day” or “Valentine’s Day treats.” No big deal. However, I had a few hits that kind of make me queasy. What do you think?

Interesting, slightly disturbing stuff, huh? The following are perfectly normal and deserve some answers. Not that the people who ended up here will ever come back to get the answers, but it gives me some closure.

- Do you tip at pei wei?

Yes, I do. Always. Not necessarily a set amount, but I definitely leave at least $3 or $4 on the table, especially now that the little man is along for the meal. Even though I finish every eating-out experience on my hands and knees (cleaning up the floor, perverts), I can’t always get it all without a mop. Also, because I frequent the same Pei Wei, I tip the woman who almost always takes our order, but that might have started after she began giving us our drinks for free b/c we’re “regulars.”  :)

- how do you pronounce honag properly

That’s a tough one. It’s actually really hard for me to pronounce it properly and it took a while to get it correct. My best advice is to ask a native speaker and have them say it over and over and over for you. I’m not sure you’ll figure it out without hearing it more than a few times. It took a lot of me repeating back, being laughed at, repeating it back, being laughed at…before I finally got it down. (And no, it doesn’t hurt my feelings when I’m laughed at. I was laughing, too.)

- what to do on valentine’s day besides eat

Is there anything to do on Valentine’s Day besides eat?!?! I thought that’s what the day was all about. Eating, and especially eating lots of chocolate. Well, I guess I can think of another thing, but I’m not going to talk about that here on the blog.

- gluten free valentine treat

I don’t cook, bake, etc., but I can ASSURE you that there are TONS of gluten free Valentine’s treats because I pretty much eat them every day. I live for chocolate, and there are lots and lots of gluten free chocolate options out there. Whole Foods has really great fair trade dark chocolate that is naturally gluten free. In fact, most of the “good” chocolate is GF b/c it’s not filled with crap additives and fillers. In addition, if you’re a cake person, I can hook you up with my best friend because that girl can bake a mean gluten free cake. I get one every year on my birthday and I eat it and only it until it’s gone. I even scrape the cake plate with the knife.  It usually lasts about 2.5 days, meaning the only food my body gets for 2.5 days comes from a gluten free chocolate cake. I know. But it’s that good.

- fast food valentines day

If you’ve gotta go the fast food route for V Day, I’d suggest In n’ Out. It’s that good. Plus, if you bring it home, your kid might just do this with the bag.

-valentine treat to my husband

Well, you could certainly…..on second thought, I’m going to leave that one alone. And please, who am I to dispense that kind of advice? We just came home with a little one that is not into sleeping, so there’s not a lotta “that” going on around here.

 - what is meant by valentine day

Sadly, I don’t really know. I’m not much of a VDay girl so I’ve never really thought about it or looked into it. In fact, I’m really glad my son’s birthday is on VDay because now it’s truly a meaningful day for me. Plus, our anniversary is just four days before VDay, so that’s enough gushy sentimental stuff in one week, don’t ya think? (I’m pretty girly when it comes to clothes, purses, hair, etc., although you probably wouldn’t know it by looking at me lately. However, when it comes to the emotional/feeling type stuff, I’m all dude. It took my husband years to help me understand that I actually *have* feelings. The art of *expressing* them is still a work in progress. So, strange as it may be, I’ve never really been a Valentine’s Day sorta girl.)

 What the hell?

-Throw up  blood six month infant

Um, yeah, call a doctor or go to the ER. What are you even doing on the internet?

 - valentines day sick of i

I understand.

And that’s enough. There are a few other funny/strange ones, but I think we’re good for today. I’ll have far more interesting things to write about tomorrow. Just too tired and sick to do it now. On a high note, last night was a really good night for Mattix sleep wise. Are you guys getting sick of me talking about my kid’s sleeping habits yet?!?!
